Love this.. amazing idea for a wonderful podcast
still going - 96yo amazing
Kronsteen was number 5- Klebb was number 3.
Host who name of Yours James Bond Radio? stop Yours amazon MGM back finish with nightmare new bond 26?
I wonder when the last time he met Putter Smith was.
In some respects this was the best Bond film, but only in some respects. As you claim I also agree that OHMSS was the best Bond film having Dianna Rigg and also Telly Savalas as Blofeld albeit the most athletic Blofeld who was capable of leading the extensive ski chase scene. The second best Bond film may have been The Spy Who Loved Me which leads to the curious situation in which the best Bond, Connery, was not in the two best Bond films. The best Connnery film was probably Goldfinger. Supposedly George Lazenby became a hippy and disenchanted with the phoniness of the franchise. But Connery was also quite bohemian in his tastes hence the curious spectacle of Zardoz which everybody in college thought was really far out.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
They told the future! Billie did use those chords for no time to die hehe
the guy that called the cops on Tom Sykes!
Weak movie. Great dialogue.
We miss you guys!
When Chris imitates Asians shouting in Bond movies, magic occurs. Also, every single time he sings should be compiled into one place, for that is also good.
So sad and regrettable that the beautiful island Khow-Ping-Kan off the Malay Peninsula where the duel between Roger Moore's James Bond and Christopher Lee's Scaramanga was filmed in "The Man With The Golden Gun"(1974) has been turned into a typical, overpopulated tourist attraction! Human greed/desire for tourism always succeeds in ruining any place of natural beauty!
Great help thank you Tom off to Venice in a couple of days and great performance by vesper!
Say what you will about abandoned mines. They last!!
I know I’m late, but I tell you I called him the lightning in the bottled bond the captured lightning in the bottle with him and boy did eon productions, and MGM really squander it all the potential that he could’ve brought to that third bond film, which never happened I have no idea what the hell they were thinking, but this is ridiculous I’m coming from a Timothy Dalton, James Bond fan and waiting five years to get him back as my bond so they can take care of their stupid lawsuit. I felt betrayed and stabbed in the back, and when you really look at goldeneye, it was made for him not for Brosnan and Brosnan. Could’ve took the L for Timothy and told eon and MGM that he has waited five years to do this movie and so has his fans but no just did it anyway and he lost my respect. Other than that that is my take on it boy what a waste of opportunity right then in there.
Epsom racecourse* not ascot. They used ascot in sky fall
Agree that Terrence Young was pivotal in setting Bond on the right track. Would have been interesting had he become a producer. Perhaps he could have kept things on track as far as the character's consistency. Bond in Dr No. was totally believable as a cold-eyed killer and by Diamonds, he was kind of a joke. Miss you guys.
Goldeneye saved bond
Wonderful stuff. I'm a fan.
Hearing you two get excited about Waltz' Blofeld pre-release of Spectre and Lea Seydoux as Madeline, makes me a little sad. It's like watching someone walk into a trap and there's nothing you can do to help. 😆😑😥
Haha yeah I see what you mean. Good to see another person up in here these days, I listen to the podcast in cycles (mostly the movie reviews but others too)--maybe my 10th-15th revolution... Alright take er easy:)
Did you Spunk in your undercrackers?
Not the actual Actor Timothy Dalton.
Wish Part 1 was available.
“Never Say Never Again” is superior in every way to that dragged-out Bahamas travelogue, “Thunderball.” The characters are better developed; the screenplay is tighter and wittier; and the underwater scenes are kept to a minimum. It moves at a good pace, with action that serves the story. Above all, Sean Connery is fitter and more enthusiastic than in is previous outing, in which he looked old enough to be George Lazenby’s father. He was the creative force behind the film, with final say over script and casting. Your audio summary was fascinating. Jack Schwartzman, with his grit and determination, was the unsung hero of this saga. But I never saw Kevin McClory as the villain. His problem was waiting too long to file his lawsuit regarding the Bond/SPECTRE material. Also, I wondered what he was doing between 1966 and 1976 to build his production and legal infrastructure.
I watched the movie AGAIN for late night, and I swear, I just had the thought in the shower this morn, "what ever happened to them?" And this shows up in my suggestions! Amazing!
What a prick!
Nice memories for Chris And what a lovely treat for all us Bond fans. Cheers Chris ❤️
Nice video, thanks. It always surprises me that businesses don't take advantage of 007 by having some souvenirs available. Missed opportunity for sure.
12:00 The "Simpsons chord"
Yep you’re right 🥰 My Bond Theme Proposal is being produced by Sefi Carmel for EONs consideration as we speak 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
The Chang impression had me in stitches, brilliant 🤣🤣🤣
2:19 One of the few comments Danny Boyle did make about NTTD [in a GQ interview in 2022] so far was him confirming his film also ended with Bond's death and he liked the way NTTD handled it.
Fingers crossed, guys, you come back and do a short podcasts when bond 26 is announced
So cool
he just turned 92. incredible
tbh he looks like willem dafoe here
Miss you JBR 😢
We miss you too @speedbirdconcordeone 🥂
Stacey Sutton screaming James is more watchable then DAD.
I would have an uncontrollable urge to yell at Knick Knack for some Tabasco -- which it seemed you were about to do for a second there...did you have that urge?
It was the spectacular artwork on the 1994 VHS Release of the remastered version of The Living Daylights that started my obsession with Bond. I'd always enjoyed them on tv, had a few on video & a few books but it was that artwork that really captured my imagination, made me want to watch the Dalton movies & read up on the movies as much as I could. I absolutely loved TLD, Dalton is my Bond & the main reason I'm a huge Bond fan today
He's a lovely man.
During my school days this film was released, once my friend brought taperecorder to school for dance , the song was,,,the man with the golden gun, I still remember the old days, thanks
Stop making excuses. Daniel Craig insisted on an unambiguous death scene for James Bond as a condition to making the film. He was adamant about this. Ask yourselves, what does that say about him? No consideration for the fans or for the franchise. The film is miserable and depressing. It has an atmosphere of dread and the tone of a horror film. We are made to watch James Bond beg for mercy in a position of supplication. What difference does it make for a film to be well made and beautiful-looking if the story shits in your face? The second viewing doesn't change my opinion. I never liked Barbara Broccoli's agenda in the first place. Under her leadership James Bond was deconstructed out of existence before she had him shot, poisoned and blown up. I've lost respect for her and I despise her Bond films. I know that a reboot is to much too hope for; she has accomplished her goal. She killed the character creatively. If she produces another Bond film it won't be recognizably Bond. Even more depressing than the film is listening to people rationalizing and trying to justify it, like someone who doesn't realize they've just been insulted.
Robert Sellers' book was a revelation on every page and so is every minute of this interview. Thanks for this.
Elektra is Pierce's Tracy. As Barbara Broccoli said: "Bond thinks he's met Tracy but she turns out to be Blofeld." It's another tragic love story for Bond, but this time he has to kill her.
It is a shame Tom & Chris never reviewed November Man-good movie, his true Bond really. I'd like to see them review Cleanskin too.
Man, I miss you guys. I am probably on my third or fourth run through the podcasts (heavy emphasis on the Reviews of the movies). Is there a chance you will continue with JBR in the future? Pretty please?
Every time Ssunders dies it pisses me off.
